Anatomy

Wave + wordmark + ™

The full lockup is a wave/ripple circle on the left and the "Aqua" wordmark in serif on the right, ending with a ™ mark.

  • Wave: 9 staggered horizontal ripple lines forming a 162px circle
  • Wordmark: custom serif "Aqua" letterforms, italic-feeling but upright
  • Trademark: ™ mark at top-right
  • Aspect ratio: 750 × 176 at native, scales to any size
  • Minimum clear space: equal to the height of the wave icon on all sides

Nav · light bg
Compact horizontal lockup. Linen / paper backgrounds. Used in floating top-bar nav.
Footer · dark bg
Vertical lockup with wave on top. Dark sections, footers. Pairs with sepia photography.

Rules

Do

  • Use Tamarind on Linen as the default
  • Use Linen / Alabaster on Tamarind or Woodsmoke for inverted contexts
  • Maintain clear-space equal to wave height on all sides
  • Use SVG wherever possible; PNG only when SVG isn't supported
  • Use the Hawkes Blue variant as a watermark on Hawkes Blue sections

Don't

  • Recreate the logo in CSS or text — always use the actual files
  • Use Tamarind on dark backgrounds (it disappears)
  • Stretch, skew, or rotate the lockup
  • Place over busy backgrounds without enough contrast
  • Pair Blaze Orange variant with red or orange backgrounds
